Nairn’s Dark Chocolate Chip Oat Biscuits
(Dairy Free, Vegan)
You may remember I listed Nairn’s Dark Chocolate Chip Oat Biscuits in my Dairy-Free & Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies review as “Best for: Pretending it’s not a cookie”
Is this a cookie? Or is this a breakfast biscuit? Is it a sustaining snack for long hikes? Nairn’s Dark Chocolate Chip Oat Biscuits are tasty. There’s something about the combination of wholegrain oats, a close texture (thanks, dietary fibre!) and the dark chocolate chips. It works really well.
I saw these on offer once and bought them in bulk. I love them that much! The oat biscuit base means these are not the same texture as a classic chocolate chip cookie, or the other dairy free chocolate chip cookies. It’s a more dense texture; a thinner biscuit; a more subtle chocolate flavour.
Nairn’s Dark Chocolate Chip Oat Biscuits contain 40% less sugar than the average sweet biscuit, contain only 44 calories per biscuit, and are made with sustainable palm oil. They’re in a league of their own.
